First one most definitely. My criticism of both of these, from my personal point of view, is that neither of them are doing anything I haven't seen a hundred times before. Each represents a generic contemprary look. The first guy is producing texbook examples of "What's cool in design", and the second guy is doing textbook examples of "What's been cool in illustration for four years already".
Neither excited or inspired me, but I personally have grown extra specially weary of the illustration style, and not so weary yet of the design style.
