Yes, I would take the following path (the one you mentioned):
A) Keep your current job (as you ... need money).
B) Force yourself to keep your folio updated.
C) Get your resume cleaned up and current ... I've found some good jobs through Monster, bizarre as it sounds. Also Krop, try to get postings on QBN, NTMY, that kind of thing ...
D) LinkedIn kicks ass. Networking kicks ass.Also, if you see something your interested in, don't be discouraged if they're not hiring. Drop by "just to see the place", learn about what they do, that sort of thing. Shows interest. Worked for me -- I start my new job in 2 weeks :)
