I was on ..ooh.. let's say 25k+ flatrate last year, whilst my housemate was on considerably less than 20. We could both afford to live and work here.
(I say 'was' because a) i had an 'odd' working year, and b) we've now got our own business, and I basically haven't got a clue what 'I'm on' yet)
Like all things, London lifestyle's what you make of it - you can never have 'enough' money here, there's plenty of outlets to squander your earnings. There's plenty-enough people hawking their wealth around town to prove that.
