Don't see why anyone would want to hand edit in Dreamweaver, it has a crap interface, it makes doing live edits a pain in the ass, and it crashes all the time. Stick to BB Edit, or Text Wrangler + Transmit. Writing everything by hand is faster in my opinion, some of the steps involved in making dreamweaver walk are far more complicated then they need to be, and knowing every line of your code will help you debug and test it.
