    Cat and dog crap can linger in houses for up to 20 months - long after conventional cleaning and the animal has been removed.

    Standard animal crap is saliva, urine, faeces and semen. It's airborne, and will settle on your clothes, carpets, curtains, rugs, bed clothes - pretty much anything. And that that doesn't settle - you breath in.

    I only know all this because the house I just bought gave me major allergies when I moved in. Asthma UK supplied this lovely research to help dog owners realise that they are disgusting.
