  I played on the london blues circuit for about 7 or 8 years. I've stopped now because of having too much work etc.
  Ain't nothin But is good and pretty much the only dedicated blues club in central london. But since the smoking ban kicked in the usual smokey vibe has been lost and I've heard it can smell of B.O which the smoke used to cover up!

  Still, blues jams there are on monday nights and can be mixed but usually quite fun. Otherwise go and see the Sam Hare band on fri 14th there, I've jammed with him a few times and he's not bad.

  Aside from there, the Borderline on Manette St usually has a good mix of music, from bluegrass, folk, blues etc.
