I got a SAMS Teach Yourself ActionScript in 24 hours book last year. It's pretty good, and comes with a CD with all the files you need on.
The books by Adobe/ Macromedia are also good, and there's a lot of free documentation on the Adobe site which really helped me pick up some skills.
