haha i agree completely with you 5stimuli, i've pretty much lost interest in gaming (even with the 360/ps3) because i've all played it before, it just looks nicer in HD - but that thrill doesn't make me want to play a game i have played a million times before. Untill the Wii came about...sure most games look 'kiddy'. But much more people are apperently interested in cute well made and playable games than 'look how AWESOME i am' ps3/360 shite. I think you need a lot pimples to actually like the overviolent crap, teenage heaven. Look I am somebody now, I can KILL PEOPLE! I feel so empowered. sigh.
I think Nintendo games are the most mature and advanced form of interactive entertainment, because they actually innovate on an interaction design level (both physical and gameplay wise). I have been a fanboy for a long time, they lost me for a while with the ps1 and Final Fantasy 7. But with the Wii, i am sooo back to Nintendo. I really thought I have given up on gaming. This stuff inspires me, if you see some of the cool things people do with a wiimote and a mac/pc amazing...
