    You are not looking hard enough for the country then. Given lots of country in Austin is "alt-country" buts its out there. Try Hole In The Wall for some alt-country, Broken Spoke, and occasionally the Poodle Dog Lounge will have some countryish bands.
    The guy from Mineral and Gloria Record is now doiing some Alt Country stuff and is playing at Stubbs tonight or tomorrow according to KUT.
