Man, that sucks to hear. It's been a long time since I worked on that site. It's hard to make a site that paints something you can't stand in a positive light.
I don't remember if Greek Life gave me hell or not. Probably did, it was the usual par for the course around there.
Sorry to hear they mucked up your design. And that they were so negative in their reaction... It's really hard to deal with clients like that. They probably didn't even really know what they wanted.
Portland's cool, nice balance between a bustling larger town, and smaller-town mentality. But, yeah, right now it is mostly a freelance community, job market still a bit rough around here.
