Probably the best way I could put it is they are a corporate company with an internal design team that bit off a bit more than they could chew. I'm going in as the AD to develop the roadmap, wireframes/sketches and UI, then once that has been established hand it off to the CSS team here and they build it for them. There's some pretty significant backend stuff going on that their team is having trouble implementing.
