Allright so you want a beginner's guide to the R4DS?

Let's see. To start off here's what you need:

    • A Nintendo DS
    • R4DS (they cost around $40)
    • Micro SD card (those tiny little cards you can find in many cellphones)
    • An SD-card reader (the R4DS comes with a cheap reader, it's rubbish so it might break though)

    How to use!
Download the latest R4DS-firmware from the r4ds-website, or just use the one that came with the R4DS on a CD.

Download some games off the internets, if you need to find some, the people over at romulation.net are willing to help, they don't host any games, but they have links. The game size can vary from 8 to 128 mb, but usually they're around 32mb or 64mb. So make sure you buy a hefty Micro SD-card if you don't want to go to your computer everytime you want to switch games.

Before the next step you might want to reformat the SD-card.
Next you put the games (unzipped, they should have the extension .nds) and the firmware on the micro sd card.

Next you put the micro sd card in the tiny slot in the R4DS-card. And then you put the R4DS in the DS like any other game.

Boot the DS and you're good to go! Play any DS game you want for free, online, offline, however you want.

    • Alternatively:
      • Go to the store
      • Buy the game.
