I wanted a VW jetta, but after checking out my budget I went with a slightly used 2001 focus zts, loaded. It's excellent, all cars have recalls, and most have more than the foci, they just weren't so public since the focus was such a new breed it got exploited a bit. Either way I love my focus, a jetta with the same amount of options would've been 10-15k more. Yep... its bad-ass.
