    My point here, as well as in the "Don't taze me bro" incident is exactly the same: Officers relying on these gadgets to do what old fashioned training used to do - which is learn how to use psychological dominance to control a situation. Most of these officers today only understand the raw basic tools of violence without using the other skills available to authority. My Uncle used to be a beat cop..the amount of time he had to resort to violence was pretty rare. These dickwads today just grab for the taser thinking their in some video game.

    I distrust most cops. I don't like the mentality that would make someone WANT to carry around a weapon and enforce rules...

    On the other hand their was an incident here this week in NYC where cops shot a guy with a hairbrush - to whit I think they were totally justified given the scenario. But this Tase stuff is just weak.
