Haha, well I would have had a date(s) at the dances, it was just my school wouldn't allow me at any school functions that were outside of school grounds because they were extremely worried about what I might do.
I showed up to a Valentine's Day Dance the one year and they actually had police there with orders and a picture of me - not allowing me to step foot on the boat, haha.
To my forward thinking though, I didn't start drinking as I thought they may have pulled a stunt like that and the last thing I needed outside of a huge scene would have been an underage drinking charge.
