  Not sure about that, although the economy had some serious weaknesses that needed to be addressed. Of course we put Limp Dick McBrain Dead in office for the last seven years which basically gauranteed us massive fuckage who managed to bring back Voodoo economics, blow the largest gov't surplus in history, lose a major US trading city, drag us into two unwinable wars in the middle east..so yeah, we're all now properly fucked. Doesn't matter much who the next president is.
