    So, back to my original question:
    Anyone here removed the preinstalled Vista OS from a new machine and lived to tell about it...
    or are you buzzards just waiting to see if I'll survive?

    Ok, I havent used pc in years but why is this so difficult?

    I mean, open the computer, format it, then isntall xp.

    why would that be a problem?
