Dear ItTango:
First of all, don't call a laptop a "notebook".
Secondly, what the hell are you going to run on Vista that you think it will mess up?Seriously, other than the bubbly mac look of Vista(which you will get use to), its functionality is amazing! People that are having troubles with Vista are people that have machines that can't handle it.
If you are buying a brand new machine, don't worry about it..
And by the way, there is no way to downgrade Operating Systems.
You would have to Wipe Vista and load Windows XP fresh. You can only upgrade Windows, and I still wouldn't recommend doing that.
So if you really want to downgrade, let me know and I can help. (for a fee...)
