  hahaha
  that is the "phrase of the moment" at work. whenever someone says "what", someone always follows it up with "what, what ..."

  last week i was walking along the street and there was an old couple. the woman said something to the man, he didnt quite hear so he turned to her and said "what-what?".
  I about pissed myself laughing.
