As we speak (er, type) I'm on hold with Apple. I was told by an online Apple "Expert" last week that if I purchase a new computer in store I'd have Leopard at my door the day it came out. I purchased it on Oct. 16th, ordered the up to date, and now almost 2 weeks later, still no Leopard. I would've happily waited til Oct. 26 and bought a new computer with Leopard preinstalled but since the "Expert" said I'd have it the day it came out, I figured I'd avoid waiting in line.
Their online delivery status keeps changing from Oct. 29 to Oct. 30. As I was on the phone with the rep it changed from Oct. 30 to Oct. 29, and today is Oct. 31. I stupidly had it delivered USPS because the "Expert" said I'd have it at my door. I would've had it FedEx if I had known I'd be unable to actually track the package and that it could take up to 7 business days for delivery.
Still on hold...wondering how they'll help remedy the situation.
