Thanks for all the help guys, ive had a look at some sites and at the moment it just isnt sinking in, i will make sure i only use the same colour space across apps and try to look for a site that spells it out for dummies.
Waynepixel, when you say 'Your colour profile are there for converting from RGB to CMYK' is that simply how the CMYK looks on the RGB screen? or have i missed the point?
