When I used to race road bikes, I'd get so pumped to ride after watching the stages. At the height of training and getting ready to race in USCF, I was riding 175 miles a week and had a best time of 1:14:36 in a 25 mile road race, close to 100 degrees Texas heat. Miss that too much.
