i still have and use illus cs2, but node for node, adobe, clunky at best
rave blew for sure pony
adobe creates stuff that works well with adobe, corel made a product that worked in reality is how i see it
but you can knock me for other assorted reasons as well if you wish, i drink too much caffeine, don't believe in god, and feel man's right to live is equal to that of a housefly, oh and i wear sandals everyday
in fact this illy/corel discussion is as dumb as a mac/pc thread

i'd use illy, but to save myself time, i'll use corel instead
funny how you say standard, my pdf documents for print are appreciated for their simplicity and completeness
i guess if i were trading .ai files in an office environment i'd give a fuck about illy, but as i'm not and corel has paid my bills for several years, i'm going to have to disagree and say the job can get done more than one way

the same way that calling yourself an industry standard doesn't make it true, but it does create a lot of followers
i'm not anti adobe, i've liked ps over fireworks, and lightroom is the best software i've ever seen for photo manip, but for vector, illy still lacks. plain and simple
