You own that home or rent? Because i'd be seriously concerned about long-term structural damage.
Hats off for keeping a sense of humor about it all. Were I in your shoes, the interview would have read something like, "According to the homeowner, "[explitive] [explitive] [explitive] [explitive] [explitive]..."".
