bcline, im not sure if this salary thing outside of my industry is true, but if your work stands out and you have a great attitude and you shine like no other than you can ask for anything experience or not, or school or not... its all a perspective, if you have the confidence the people with confidence with start to flock to you, and i dont mean arrogance or anything like that, but then again i am in nyc where its walk or be walked upon, that being said yo uhave to hustle fulltime or freelance its the same thing... full timers though seem to not hustle so much at all in comparison to a freelancer but you can charge what ever you like, it all comes down to negotiation and worse scenerio the client says ok,, yes that seems good YOU'RE HIRED!!

but going in to the field asking for a 30k is weak in any cities standard especially if you want to be a designer...

you can start at a low salary and slowly move up to what 50k in how many years??? fuck that!! ask for 50k today!! donthesitate, and if the client says you dont have experience then your work should showcase something thatt can sell you the more so.

i used to be in that world of no money at 28k in nyc for 3 years, it was hellish!!! you cant imagine1!! since then i learned that you can ask for any number you want, and negioate it.

thats whats its about, who the hell wants to hire a regular design thats a dime a billion dozen today when you can find someone who knows what they want and grabs life!!

    sound right??

for me its my moto today. demand salaries!

    and see what happenes.

who knows they may just say yes.

again outside of NYC this may not be true.

    biased and all..

    ;)
