My advice is first of all don't buy apple computer from apple unless it's a refurb.
Other resellers have better deals, my macbook came with a $100 mail-in from amazon US. It was shipped to California without sales tax you'd pay with Apple.Aplecare - you have a year to get it, so it's worth waiting until the last month. If you sell the computer or it gets stolen within a year - you've more left in the pocket. Again, shop for applecare, there are way better deals on amazon than apple.com. Also, resellers have their own warranty deals, check these out, might cover you better than applecare.
