happens bcline, I was the same way in school. As long as you know when you can get away with it, and when that shit, just needs to get done.
Find the way you like to work, and get to it. For me, I need to have music going. Stuff that just keeps me going, mostly upbeat stuff. And I always burn a candle, don't know why, I've been doing it since college. For me, once I light it, it means, get to work man, no more fucking around.
And always remember the feeling when you get it done. Use that as motivation, strive for it, set up little goals, when I get XXX done, I can post on NT, drink a beer, whatever. Do what you gotta do!
