whats the point of it anyway? say you make it up there... and.... you're there.......... then what. you're just there and that's it? yay? you made it to heaven? um... cool.

In this imperfect world we can't fathom perfection, so we really can't comprehend what it will be like. According to the Bible, it isn't "up there". Right now it is removed in some other spiritual dimension. At the end of all things, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The Bible is vague on exactly what that will look like, except that it says those are who are in the new heaven and new earth (the two will be joined, the veil will be lifted, so to speak) will reign with Christ. We won't become gods, but the people who are there will enjoy untiring perfection forever. Seems like a pretty sweet deal to me. It is literally infinitely better than the alternative.
