Usability (2 )
Design (2 )
Overall look and feel of site ( 1)I got to say, the overall design is not strong at all.
The first couple of items:
I think would help is a cleaner and stronger grid, meaning simpler structure and adhere to it more.
The red color is hurting you here. because red is such a strong color, the heirarchy is getting confused by it. ie. section tabs in red, text in red, items in red,... So much red that user has difficulty recognizing what to look at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Use the red sparingly, very sparingly, it will be much more dynamic and you can use color to help seperate the heirarchy.
The layout is confusing. Tab menu to left (standard, ok), then menu functions at top right and other at bottom in product section (which is enormous, a bit oversized I think). Get the nav into one are I think, with a primary function and secondary kind of function if needed (ie. list as primary, icons as secondary...).
Also, the type heads that are images of type are softer visually than the crisp type is. This is making the crisp, bold black type come forward and the heads recede. Again, fighting the heirarchy.
