What I don't understand is why Dexter's 'Father' picked him up out of the blood and left the other kid just sitting there like he didn't exist. I mean, if he was so compelled to save the kid, why just him and not both?

Too right! I was thinking the same thing during ep. 2 the other night...... I was actually a little bummed out at the end of last season cuz they killed off Rudy so quickly... his character could've greatly been enhanced... oh well. :)
