I lived in Astoria/Long Island City in Queens for 5 years before moving to Manhattan for 2. Your gonna be taken the N, R or 7 line I would think mostly to get into the city unless she lives further out east then maybe the F. If that's still the way they have it set? They were changing it when I left. MOMA is close by in Queens now too, it's world-class. Lot's of nice ethnic food as you would think. Not sure if it is still, but Queens was or is the most ethnically diverse community in the world. Have fun. ;)
