    Leigh:

you're always finishing someone elses turd.

Not always, the point of freelance to me is to be selective of what are you going to work on

    --------------------------------...
You don't have much creative direction to projects.

Again, no the case for me, 85% of the time, I'm creative director / lead designer.

    --------------------------------...
They always put you on the shit computer, nobody really talks to you because your the freelancer who is on a better day rate than them.

That might be true, but I do own my own laptop so if the computer is shit, I will be working on my own. I'm friendly enough to take the first step in meeting everyone...

You don't feel apart of a family/team because you never in one studio long enough and it can be very lonely.

This I completly agree with :(

    --------------------------------...
You become the designer slut that whores himself out to any studio for any project as long as the pay is good.

Hey! you are right on the whoring, but that is the nature of the job, isn't it? At least freelancing I'm my own pimp. ;)

    --------------------------------...
Money isn't everything, of course not, but I am looking for a competitive salary AND to join a team I respect, if I only cared about money, I would be doing UI design for a company developing intranet systems for banks.
