They frequent message boards about topics they are interested, just as guys do. However, it's obvious that guys post on these more. I have met a few girls on mobile phone boards and mac-related forums.
I find that entertainment forums, such as TV, is where you'll find a closer ratio between men and women.
Guys and girls both use MSN obsessively at school though (which most likely means they do this at home too...while studying). I have seen so many guys using IM lately, which is kind of interesting to me. Not sure why.
