Hahahha, nice eddE.
Maybe all the originals or whatever (Hiro's pop, Douche McDoucher's mama) were just rich investors in a scientific project or something that would start the evolutionary process and as such all these powers are kind of happening at will, with no real way to figure out how to make the super hero ... until this possible kidro at Claire's new high school (based on most of our previous assumptions).
And now that its coming to fruition, someone is getting rid of everyone so they can be the sole benefactor.
