  And if you mention Dir Yassin, you may want to read about what happened in Gush Etzion and the Jewish quarter in Jerusalem at the same period. So, yes, war is always ugly and no one fights clean.

  And that's the point. The aim should be peace between two countries – forgetting the stupidity of the past, not glorifying it.
