i like having a fan on my desk to move the air (so i can fart better) and when i had the macbook pro at my last job i'd just turn the fan on and point it at the puter, which was up on an icurve. i never had one single problem with it.
i agree though, you shouldn't have to do that to a computer to keep it from destroying itself.
we also had to alienware computers though and one melted during a 10hour long use flat on the desk. so i guess it can happen to any laptop not cooled properly.
