i've done quite a lot of retouching and photography and the general requiest from art directors is: make it fake.
"make the model thin"
"make the brest bigger or not sag"
"clear the skin"
"cut about 5lbs from ther legs"
"make the food look tasty"
"make the fruit look fresh"
etc. etc.
is part of the business.
It comes down to making the product desirable.
