my point was that men ruled on roe vs. wade, making it legal. lawmakers often times aren't in the group affected by the laws they make.

Exactly why I said it was shoddy. Legislators make laws everyday about issues that don't directly effect them. Bush declared war when we all know he would never face combat nor would his family members. Abe Lincoln was not a slave or a slave owner. Senator Larry Craig backed anti-gay legislation when everyone knows he's not gay...
