I've had both internet and hd cable service with FiOS since about January. Got the 15mbps setup and it blows comcast away, in every way.
FiOS internet has been very impressive for me and I often get 1.3mb+ download speeds, making 1gb+ files breeze by.
As for cable... onDemand is instant in comparison to Comcasts offering, HD looks phenomenal and the guide is far more intuitive.
I've been nothing less than extremely happy with the service with the exception of the billing issues that they can't seem to get past. Setting up billing on their website is a pain in the ass. But other than that... FiOS is the sh*t.
