10.5:1 wow... that's nuts for a turbo... must be crazy low boost. like

(Sep 5 07, 07:37)sort of. there are plenty of forced-induction systems that are running higher compression that 10.5:1. my car, for instance, runs around 12.25:1 under full boost. now, that is augmented by the boost it self (1bar) but still, the compression factors are there.
this was more common on Motronic cars where the monitoring was individually monitored, rather than many of the down-stream systems so prevalent today, Audi included.
