Antonelli: First, we know scientifically that all of time, matter and energy came into existance at once, from a singularity in the distant past. Scientists call this: The Big Bang. So, something outside of time, energy and matter caused this singularity to explode into specified information and everything else you and I know. The ancient Hebrews understood this. You don't seem to.
Secondly, true Biblical Christianity is nothing like the religions of the world and can't even be put in the category of "religion", as most people understand it. This is because it is the story of mankinds' fall out of fellowship with his creator and how we can't do anything to fix it. Hence, Christ living among us and dying in our place as a propitiation for our sin. So, with world religions you have a story of rituals and ceremonies in an attempt to appease a reluctant god - Do this, do that, attain this level, etc... In contrast, the message of the Bible is: You can't do it. You are dead in your sin nature. Only faith alone in the person of Christ alone will raise you from death to life. And this is a gift to be freely received, not earned.
You will not find a message even remotely close to this in the religions of the world. Humans don't invent a message like that, which goes so much against our performance-oriented human nature.
I was an agnostic until I was about 20. When I learned that Christianity is a free gift to be received which allows me to have a relationship with the God who relentlessly loves me... I was all in.
