What I meant is that sometimes God allows temptation, hard times etc. into my life to help me grow and become a better person all around. I.E. I got fired for no apparent reason from my last job...long story short, but I ended up where I never wanted to go (smack in the middle of the country). Couple months later I landed the best job I've ever had by a long shot (still there) and 9 months after that got married. So getting fired and losing a lot of money turned into a blessing in disguise.

You don't have to make everything in your life seem so profound. You got fired, found a better job, and found a female that liked you back. Absolutely ridiculous how you can link something like this to a god.
