(Aug 23 07, 06:46)i'd really love to see those paintings. afaik bɾΓΈːxə;l painted 2 versions of the same painting - the one you posted is the so-called "smaller Babel" coz it measures half the size of the other. the scene is also different from the "bigger" one.
i don't know which one he painted first i'm guessing the big one came later, since the idea is more developped and it is also the most known, making it the "final" work?
maybe he meant them to be together. it reads like a story.
