My parents have no idea. Favorite quote from my mom:
"and someone pays you to do this?"
But working for big blue also means that I get a few calls a week about how their printer wont work or they keep getting spyware infections and how do they fix it. Its hard as hell to walk someone through a windows machine over the phone that thinks reading the title bar of every window is a good use of 5 minutes.
rant over. I just tell people I draw pictures of software that people who write computer code make work.
