Yeah, try telling that to other creative individuals such as unsigned bands who want to play a gig for free so that they can be better at the their next gig or the young creative who wants that dream job within their favourite design agency, etc.

Wait until you land the job of your dreams from that free gig you made, few years down the road they say "thank you but we have to go with the design of this guy who is making it for free" and the wheel starts turning all over again :).
