I just got back in touch with a good friend of mine from High School who is by profession the lead singer/bassist for a death metal band. We're going to catch up when he gets back from some European tour an he's invited me to check out his gig at BB Kings in NYC in Nov. I told him I'd get their early, get a table in the upper section, order a nice steak and a bottle of wine and watch the show. He said "Great! You can sit with my mom then!"
And then we both laughed.
