Congrats emecks. I got a beautifully located apartment in Wroclaw, Poland two months ago. It is being refurbished now under control of my gf who luckily for me is an interior designer. I bought it from an ex-military officer who got it from the army in the 70's, I doubt he'd done anything to it but painted the walls shit colour glossy one meter from the floor, slaughterhouse-like. It took a grenade, but the refurbishment progresses, sucking the wallet dry with all the paints, windows, showers, walls, doors, floors, tiles, taps, cements, sinks and stuff.
Next time I will know to buy a finished one.
