DO
• hang out with designers from other cities/countries. your talks will most likely go beyond design and just into regular old conversation. by the end of the night the whole lot of you will most likely be getting kicked out of a strip club• have sex with designers from other agencies. why not?
• attend local design functions. As much as you may want to punch that old AD from your last job you'll make connects that may lead to work in the future, plus, you get to check out the new "talent" from other agencies, which brings me back to my second point.
DON'T
• hang out with designers from your work. They'll only disappoint you with some strange behavior like borrowing money, double dipping their chip in the salsa, or puking in your car.
