while we're on the topic of fonts by H&FJ, Gotham would be a nice sans choice in letterpress. I bet it would hold up pretty well. Knockout would also look nice if you want that 19th century boxing match look.
Also any face made for newsprint would work, what with the exaggerated ink traps and all.
