    I was just there for 10 days, and I have to agree with a previous comment that you should walk and walk and walk.

    Some of my highlights were:
    - MoMA
    - The Met
    - Natural History Museum
    - Whitney Museum of American Art
    - The Gagosian Gallery
    - Street Performers in the squares around NYC
    - A broadway show that appeals to you (don't buy your tickets from a broker, they're a ripoff)
    - 5th Avenue just for the amazing shops
    - Empire State
    - Central Park
    - Staten Island Ferry (go for the shorter cruise, the long one is toooo much)
    - Kickass clothing stores in SoHo (Lafayette, Bleecker, Broadway etc)
